Woke up at 13:00. More tourism around. Visited the “El Retiro” park.
It’s a really nice place where stay working on a laptop.
Went out all together with Anna, Luisa, Ashun, Cloe and Andrew at the
DucaDosCafe’ disco. Really nice place. at 1:00am I was too much tired,
and returned to the hotel. The others guys went to “El Gabrieles”.
The Linux-Expo finished, we’re on holiday now. Went around the city
as tourists, and enjoined the city, that is really nice.
We’ve found an interesting internet-cafe’, where we could finally
check email and play Quake 3 Arena (”Capture the flag!”).
Went out at night with Anna and Sabina, having drinks and moving around
bar and pubs.
Back home at 3:00am, started hacking on a GnomeCanvas-based histogram
widget. The GnomeCanvas is cool.
Second day at the Linux-Expo. The CNN came for an interview,
I was talking about the FSF activities with the speaker when some
bastards simulated the “Fully Monty” scene with the gnome, using TuXes
and SuSE peluche. When they arrived with a giant penguin saying
“Hi, it’s your mom, I’m happy to see you on TV!” I started laughing.
In the evening the group has divided. I went to pick up my cousin
Anna at the airport with Claudio, Marione and Filippo, while Andrea
and Marco went to the Debian dinner. I think that Andrea loves Wichert
Akkerman, and Wichert hate him.
Went out with Anna, eating at “VIPS”.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! our ‘bug.rulez.org’ domains is active!!!
First day at the Linux-Expo, managing the FSF booth. Nice people
there. Miguel De Icaza arrived in the morning, Wichet Akkerman in
the afternoon. The HISPALinux and Barrapunto.com people are fun and
interesting. Spent all day there, having fun. Many people asked
about the FSF activities, and we’re happy about this.
Went about for “tapas” (dinner?) all together, the FSF booth,
Debian, HISPALinux, Barrapunto.com and TodoLinux.org, about 40
persons. Other guests joined us, like Miguel and Amaya.
After a really fast trip with our flying object, we arrived finally
in Madrid (some photos: http://pellegrini.firenze.linux.it). Went
directly to the Palacio De Congressos Y Esposiciones in Madrid. The FSF
booth here is fine, it just miss the furnitures.
The t-shirts and the other things arrived without problems at the
booth, I’m happy about this.
Met Rodrigo Moya (gnome-db) and Juan Toledo (etherape) at the booth,
they’re going to help us there. They’re great people.
Went out, after setting up the booth, with Claudio, Marione, Marco,
Andrea and Filippo. Walked around in Madrid. Its really a wonderful
city: nice people, nice food, nice everything.
